"Lubos, Multiple materials will not make it into Version 1.0, but may be in a WIP of Version 1.0 some (many) months after the V1.0 release. I wish I could be more specific, but an unknown (at this time) amount of design effort will be required to add…"

"Michael, do you have an idea, when the SnS will be able to work with multiple material? I believe, that this can make it more attractive than it's now :). I'm not try to be impatient, this is "only" a question.   Thanks."

"Lubos, At the moment, analysis is limited to one material and one solid at a time.  However, analysis using multiple materials is a high priority on the wish list. ~Michael"

"Thanks for reply, i thing, that there was some problem inside my software, now everythinh seems to be right ... Here is one of results with "Bake". This shape is a stiffener, which is inside a footpocket of our monofin (we are the producer…"

Michael Freytag replied to Lubos Polak's discussion 'Mesh maked by "bake"'
"Lubos, I did a quick verification of the mesh being output by the [Bake] button, and didn't find any obvious problems.  I did notice and fix a problem with updating the bounding box for the deflected mesh.  The fix will be in the next…"

Mesh maked by "bake"

I donť know, if  i'm alone with this problem:makong a bake with defected solution isn't problem, but when i could save my work, whole Rhino was crashed and my model was dead. The only solution was deleting this mesh and purge model. One experience: when i tried to do something with this Mesh, i found, that it has more than 10000 edges, which is a limit for work in Rhino. Maybe some simplification of this mesh could be beneficial.See More

Vadim Shapiro replied to Lubos Polak's discussion 'SnS in Construction'
"Thanks for the suggestions. We initially did not want to restrain points and edges, because such restraints appear not physical. But many users are asking for this, so we may reconsider this in the future. For now, you could create and restrain…"

SnS in Construction

Although i feel, that SnS goes primary to the other branch than construction, even so i can ask, if Your SnS could include:The first thing, i'm missing is possibility to insert restraint in translation or rotation to an edge of the face. The second thing is marginal, but i've just met it. We got an interesting job to our office, there is some sculpture design, which will be located in Japan, it is interior sculpture, but it must resistant to an earthquake. So, do you plan to add loads of…See More

Lubos Polak replied to Lubos Polak's discussion 'Loading according to the expected deformation'
"Yes, i want to apply observed deformations to the model, this is, what i need to figure out. It is unfortunate that the current version of SnS isn't able to do it, but i know, that development needs a time, we experience the same thing in our…"

Vadim Shapiro replied to Lubos Polak's discussion 'Loading according to the expected deformation'
"Lubos, thank you for explaining the problem. If I understand it correctly, you want to apply observed deformations (displacements) to the model and solve for stresses -- to see where the material may break. Unfortunately, the current version of…"

Vadim Shapiro replied to Lubos Polak's discussion 'Loading according to the expected deformation'

Loading according to the expected deformation

Hi, can you help me with load of my model? I'm trying to load it according to the expected deformation. On this picture i show, what should be a result of loading:I had to do the calculation in ANSYS, so i have a specific idea, what the SnS can show me, if i'll be right (i'm not able to work in ANSYS, this is the work of someone else):On the base of this background i tried to load my model (the same model, which was be used in ANSYS) in SnS, my first results are here:I tried to load it in many…See More
