Thank you for trying S&S and for your comment. We will definitely look into the problems/suggestions. Have a question about your last "wish" -- is this intended for loads generated by wind? Would love to learn more about your application and see some computed results if at all possible.

(1) pressing once the tab "Cancel" to stop and reset some options does not have effect, it is necessary to press it again, when the pointer regains focus (Win7 Pro, 32bits)

I think I've fixed this behavior in the next release (coming shortly) by disabling input to the Scan&Solve dialog while a solution is being computed. I'll add to our wish list the ability to cancel the solution process and make adjustments. As it stands now, once the solution process starts, there's no stopping it until it finishes. i.e. the dialog may be dismissed, but SnS will continue to work in the background.

(2) the initial default resolution of my solid appeared to be negative, but moving forward and again backward all the way, the value set correctly at 10000

This is odd and unexpected behavior. Can you send me the model with which you experienced this problem?

(3)flickering of screen and slight resolution adjustments of UI towards the end of calculation

Hmmm. This is odd and unexpected too. It may be related to (1) where you were making inputs while SnS was solving. The UI inputs are not applied to the model until [Go] or [Done] is clicked.

(4) the visibility of the results in Rhino UI is not taking into account the virtual geometry but still the original one: that is, in case of extreme deformations, the Zoom Extents button re-sises to real geometry, not to the deformed one

I'll add this to the bug list.

Yes, Vadim. In the case of forces applied along a direction, it would be nice to have a means of selecting at once all surfaces "seen" from that direction. This is valid for wind , water , etc. The picture I sent is a PhotoVoltaic Tree, to be installed in gardens, that rotates to follow the apparent sun motion. This is the first time I try a FEA tool on the structure, but the simulations have already given to me suggestions and insights. Thanks.
For Michael: (2)the solid is the one shown in the attached picture, valid and no naked edges. I have noticed the behavior, which is not affecting the results. I mentioned it just for you to know.
(3) when the calculation is almost finished the SnS window is being resized and slightly moved, flickering a couple of times: it happens consistently.
I also had a Rhino crash, but am unable to reproduce it. Maybe I was clicking happily away while waiting for SnS to finish.
