Which versions of Rhino, Windows, and CPU are you using?  Was Scan&Solve operating and then it quit?

If you are running 64-bit Rhino 5, you might try using the latest Work In Progress of Scan&Solve from here.  It includes a more comprehensive array of dlls than that included with Scan&Solve v1.6.

am working on Rhino 4, windows 7, core i 5, 6 GB ram

I guess there are 2 possible sources of the trouble:

1) Scan&Solve is built using the Intel C++ compiler, so there may be some obscure dlls needed from the Intel redistristributable library.  Try downloading and installing the latest Intel redistributable library.

2) There have been several updates to the runtime library for Visual C++ 2005 which we use to build Scan&Solve.  It is hard to tell if we are in sync with what the folks at McNeel used to build Rhino 4.  To bring your support libraries up to date, I suggest downloading and installing the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package AT....

have tried both installations,, yet problem is still there,,

further,, it happened again when I tried on another computer with the same version of Rhino, it crashed just in the same manner, showing the same dll error message, could it be something with Rhino itself? do I need to re-install Rhino again?

it's finally working!
the problem was possibly with my Rhino,, things are back to normal after I re-installed it,,
