Scan-and-Solve for Rhino

Simulate Early, Simulate Often... In Rhino

I too am impressed by what I'm seeing here. Looks like it's a great tool for increasing the intelligence of our Rhino models.

As I understand it, this beta version is just a sample of what can be done with this analysis technique. Are there plans for mold flow analysis in the near future?

Cheers,
Ernest

In principle, the Scan&Solve technology can be used with any and all types of analysis and simulation tasks (boundary value problems).

You are also right that the beta version shows only a sliver of what we can already do today: heat transfer, thermo-elasticity, heterogeneous materials, etc. etc. Our current efforts focus on FEA-type problems, and we will try to bring out additional solvers as quickly as we can. We do not have any specific immediate plans for mold flow analysis per se, because we have quite a backlog, but please ask us again in six months or so.
Thanks for the info Vadim.

There is plenty that I can do with SnS as it is. I've been able to do a few quick tests on things that I've been dying to know actually, so thanks for making the beta version available for us!

I have had a number of crashes, however, that aren't on overly complex geometry. I've had to re-boot in order to get it to work again. It causes the Rhino crash upon selecting (scanning/loading) the solid. I'll keep you posted if I learn anything more. I did send one report to RMA.
