It was just to test the principle and will be used for marketing T-splines, scan and solve and Zcorp printers... The part its self can be used for many things. I analysed the surface extensively in Rhino but actually having the model has allowed me to notice things that i could not on my computer that if it was going into production would be altered.  Also if i was to optimise the design for a new bike model next year you could compare the two 3D printed models and comment on changes you have made and how it has affected the von misses stress and displacements etc... It only took 5 hours from CAD file to to printed part and 20 minuets to infiltrate, so is a viable presentation solution.

Great visual!   Just curious what you are going to do with the printed part ...
