Simulate Early, Simulate Often... In Rhino

Hello SnS team!

If possible, can you please change the torque value from N.mm into the normal N/m SI unit. This would be much easier to work with...

I don´t know if this is only a writing error and the program calculates with N/m or not???

Simon,

It is not a typographical error.  When using mm as the length unit in Rhino, the consistent torque unit is N·mm and is the unit used in the computations.  If you know your torque value in N·m, convert it to N·mm by appending three zeros.

More information on the units in SnS can be found here.

On the list of things to do is the addition of a units dropdown to allow entry of values in any of the supported unit systems.

Thanks,

Michael

P.S. I don't know if it is a typo, but N/m is not a unit for torque... typically, it's a spring rate.
