Simulate Early, Simulate Often... In Rhino
Will Scan and Solve Version 2 be written exclusively for Rhino 5?
Thx,

Bob,
I don't anticipate we will restrict V2 to Rhino 5 only.
I am curious what the population of users looks like.
Everybody want to weigh in? Are you using Rhino 4, Rhino 5 (32-bit), or Rhino 5 (64-bit)?

HI:
I own Rhino 4 and am using Rhino 5 WIP. I have a 32 bit laptop and a 64bit desk top. I haven't put Scan and Solve on my big computer yet.
One of the things I really like about Scan and Solve is that it runs well on my lap top.
I also own Alibre, which I love and it is really affordable. Rhino and Alibre work really well together.
I think a version of Scan and Solve for Alibre might be a big hit.
I will purchase Rhino 5 when it is released. I like using it.
In my day job I have a large multicore computer which runs ANSYS and SolidWorks. I find I need
a fairly powerful computer to complete an analysis since there seams to be a fairly large amount of iterative
calculations done in ANSYS.
ANSYS is definitely out of my price range.
My focus is engineering as apposed to industrial design so I might have a sligthly more technical
requirement for my software. I think alot of the simplicity in a software package comes from the layout
of the user interface. Things need to flow smoothly when a software package used.
I own a structural software package called Visual Analysis andI have been really happy with the way
the user interface is layed out. Everything is right on the screen and easy to find.
Thx,
Bob
