material specifications for 1/8" cardboard and pine wood

Hi,

I need to get material specifications for 1/8" cardboard  and also for pine wood. I'm making a bowl back mandolin case and I want to check it's strength and where the design might fail in Scan and Solve but I need to make these two custom materials.

Hopefully someone can post the specs so I can add them to the custom area when I choose a material.

I'm making the case out of cardboard and thin wood slats.

Thanks for any help,

Roland M

Hello,

Both, wood and cardbord has non linear material properties. Check the Documentation under "known limitations". In my opinion it's impossile to get usefull results with bowl structures made of those kind of material.  But maybe there is a "trick" to avoid this problem.

( Sorry, my english has some known limitations ;) but i hope its o.k.  )

Thanks Sönke,

I haven't used scan and solve in a while so I thought they might have made some progess in these areas.
