Scan-and-Solve for Rhino

Simulate Early, Simulate Often... In Rhino

This work is of two architecture students at WSU and explores simple components to be used as aggregations as a system. The individual component is shown here. SnS was used to analyze the material properties as well as the form. Our aim was to determine which were behaviors of materials and those of the geometry. This information was used to inform the design based off of determined strengths within the components.  We see this testing as a first attempt to realize digitally the behaviors of the materials + geometries and also completed physical testing through models to compare results. Below you can see the related outputs in SnS to our models and the conclusions suggested by the students.

Mary,  thank you for posting this.   You may want to post the links to the student projects in case others want to see them.  Meanwhile,  we also posted them here  and under the "Galleries" tab.   Very impressive!
